Forever never seems that long until you're grown

18 years day to day as a dad didn't seem that long

My intentions were good, a lot of guilt over what could've been

Reminiscing about the times we had

It was never perfect, and I know that hurt

Tough times create bonds that last

Seeing you happy and fulfilled is the plan

So know that everything in life will be cool

And yes...... I was there on the first day of school, and graduation
